We have many years of tools, automated record-keeping systems, data and reports, in excellent data analyzed formats and narratives. They form a great data base for the work of the Trust over the years, in achieving compliance with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. However, they need to be finished well, formatted, copyedited and proofed, other than final designing etc. to take it to the stage of an open access publication; and for mainstream academic publishing.
Post Name: We are looking for an academic editor (full time or part time), located (anywhere), to work with us on the data records and reports.
Basic Qualification and Skillset:
- Post-graduate qualification in development / public health / policy research.
- Experience of in development/ health research in dedicated research teams.
- Experience in qualitative & quantitative research methodologies and data analyses.
- High fluency in English, Excellent English writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and team development skills.
- Experience in mental health research.
Job Responsibility : [1] providing high-quality research assistance to the project leader in compiling excellent reviews of literature, abstracting, precise and summarizing, synthesis, analysis, etc. of existing data sets and draft reports [2] identifying, inventorying, archiving, and studying ail the existing research reports, and further works to take them towards completion [3] Reviewing tools and studies done by the Bapu Trust in community mental health pile sorting data, thematic coding, reviewing data tables, running fresh analysis if and when required. [4] Synthesizing different project reports, collating information, making linkages, and editing good reports for academic publishing and wider dissemination. [5] Formatting, following publishing guidelines (APA), copy editing, proofing and finalizing documents [6] associated tasks of identifying research journals, norms of publishing, paper drafting and preparation, and coordination with publishing journal/publisher. [7] Obtaining ISBN number for different papers and reports once finalized. [8] Support in organizing a dissemination conference and documentation thereof.
